Community Development/ Institution Building (CD/IB) (gender-sensitive)

Basic in the empowerment of the disadvantaged is the harnessing of what they have in abundance, their number. This program seeks to stimulate the formation of grassroots organizations, which will link up in solidarity with other similarly oriented sectoral and multi- sectoral alliances and coalitions to advocate for policies supportive of their concerns.

Through various consciousness – raising activities, training and mobilizations that are undertaken with and by the organization, the people increasingly become confident in managing their affairs, in solving their problems and in dealing with the government and other institutions.

As a result of the processes, leaders from the people emerge who will continue to strengthen and expand the organizing work to other sectors and areas
